Troublesome Partnering with the WE Project for 2nd Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive

Columbia, MO; November 17, 2021

Troublesome will partner with the WE Project and Rock the Community on a Thanksgiving Food Drive and winter clothing this month to collect perishable goods and donations, helping provide Thanksgiving meals for those in need throughout the community this year.

From 10am to 2 p.m., Nov. 20th at Parkade Plaza located near the Business Loop 70 west, thanksgiving food and winter clothing will be available to be picked up and dropped for families in need. Due to Covid, those families needing to pick up food will be able to stay in their cars.

Requested items include instant mashed potatoes, instant gravy, canned cranberry sauce, canned green beans, canned mushroom soup, dried fried onions, boxed stuffing mix, disposable roasting pans and other non-perishable food items.

The winter is a harsh time for people with money to spare, let alone for those who struggle. This year, help out those in need by donating essential items to those in need.  A few examples of great items to donate include the following:

  • Winter coats
  • Heavy jackets
  • Scarves, hats, and mittens
  • Sweaters
  • Snow pants

Troublesome Movement 501(c)3 was founded in 2012 in Portland, Oregon. They offer educational and economic services to racial minorities, and other disadvantaged groups needing and wanting to change the current life circumstances and become their best selves and get their lives back on course. The WE project seeks to help bridge the gaps between these diverse communities through intersectional dialogue, and to engage the community at large in conversations about radical equity, inclusion and healing. Rock The Community assists in redevelopment of local communities by engaging youth-based activities, initiatives, and rebuilding residents and communities.
